My First attempt to concoct a Kilawin
I've been out vacationing in my beloved Batanes and had the chance to make my very first Kilawin. A favorite of mine compliments of a brother, a cousin and an uncle who makes a "killer kilawin".

The first time I saw "taniji" fish at home (fresh)
cut it in cubes, add lemon juice or (kalamansi juice)para maalis ang lansa, tomatoes, chopped ginger, onions (para malasa) and sprinkle it with salt. I put red hot chopped chilis to make it more maanghang and mix them all together.. lastly pour hot (not warm) water just enough to partially cook the fish and whoala! pulutan na hahaha
