Sauteed Spinach for Brunch

I was watching the TV program Salamat Dok last Sunday when I came across their featured recipe - something cheap, simple but healthy so I thought why not?

Ingredients:

2 bundles Spinach
4 pcs. Tomatoes (medium size)
1 pc Onion (medium size)
1tsp Cooking oil
Salt to taste

How to Cook:

  • Remove the Spinach leaves from their stalk and wash thoroughly.
  • Cut the onions and tomatoes lengthwise and dribble the tomatoes with salt and seasoning of your choice
  • Saute the onion and tomatoes (make sure not t overcook them)
  • Add the Spinach and cover for few seconds.
  • Serve
Benefits:

Spinach is known to be very low in calories, and since it’s low on calories, diabetic people take advantage of this as they tend to eat healthy but with minimal weight gain. Spinach also help improve your sugar level thus eliminating the occurrence of high blood pressure and cholesterol.
